A downloadable game

Welcome to the Marigold District, a tiny, walled off segment of Geotha dedicated to creatives, artisans, and those fortunate enough to have patrons in high places.

It's a place where nothing happens, you'd know, you grew up there.

One sleepy afternoon you return to find your teacher dead, a stack of papers half burned and a bloody hole in her chest. The suspects seem to have no motive, means, or reason. You have one task, solve the case.

Marigold Mysteries is a murder mystery adventure game set to release in 2024.

Currently in Development! We started as a little gamejam, we'll be slowly rebuilding this page as we do the game itself! Follow our socials for updates:

We ran out of time. This is barely functional - held together by 18 ducks made of the flimsiest piece of twine known to man. Just know, it was really cool after the tutorial (we couldn't build anything past the tutorial and even that is... something)

Oh dear, I must have been looking too closely at the flimsiest twine humans have ever woven from ambitious ideas. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to interact with anything. Don't know if I just didn't press the right button, if it's broken or if you couldn't implement it in time. What a shame. I heard that the game gets really good after the tutorial ...

The graphics are cute though. And the characters look great. The music is good too. I hope you pick up this game/idea again and follow through. It looks promising :)

Swear I responded to this...

Anyway, yeah, we ran out of time and ran into issues with a giant plugin we based the dialogue on (Pixel Crushers Dialogue System) and it basically broke the game.

We're continuing it, we have loads more content, so stay tuned! When we're not burned out by a 2 week long gamejam, so next week, we'll be fixing a bunch of the stuff. Honestly bestie we put our whole ass into this project and it being a mess was... demoralizing, but we love the concept and want to get everyone's work in.
